Leichhardt substation

Ausgrid has redeveloping the Leichhardt electricity substation located at 133 Balmain Road as part of our plans to continue providing a secure and reliable electricity supply to Leichhardt and surrounding suburbs.

The project was required to replace existing equipment that was approaching retirement and has involved constructing a new architecturally designed building to complement the local area.

Construction of the building is complete with installation and connection of new electrical equipment in progress.
