There are minimum mandatory training requirements for all individuals who are required to work on, or near the Ausgrid network. Training requirements for External Partners are defined in their specific contracts. However, the Minimum Mandatory Training listed below can provide some guidance on expected training requirements.

Refresher training is required when training is completed within 12 months of the training expiry date (i.e. within 24 months since last training)
An individual must re-do the full initial training if their last training is more than 24 months old.
Individuals that have previously completed training in 5099, ISSC26 or NS209 will be grandfathered. Where required, all refresher training must be in accordance with the associated relevant national units of competency listed.
No. Only an electrically qualified individual is eligible to complete “UETTDREL16A Working safely near live electrical apparatus”
Yes. Non-electrically qualified individual can complete “UETTDREL14A Working safely near live electrical apparatus” as a non-electrical worker.
Only Ausgrid aligned training delivered by Ausgrid accredited Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) will be accepted by Ausgrid for authorisation purposes.
Ausgrid will not recognise Ausgrid aligned training provided by any company who is not accredited by Ausgrid at the time of training delivery.
