Ausgrid Surveys

Ausgrid regularly sends out a number of market research surveys and at times engages with external research partners to conduct market research surveys. These provide an opportunity to give feedback on your experiences with Ausgrid in relation to your essential electricity supply, as well as identify how we can improve in the provision of customer power requirements. Your participation in these surveys is voluntary, and you can choose to opt out at any time.

Use of SMS

Ausgrid uses SMS to send out surveys generated by a randomly selected +61 [mobile number] to contact our customers about participating in surveys. The Call Line identification of the SMS our customers receive varies from time to time.

At no stage does Ausgrid share any of your personal details with the external research partners. Ausgrid’s external research partners will NEVER ask you to disclose any personal details such as:

  • Your date of birth
  • Your driver’s licence number
  • Your National Meter Identification number (NMI)
  • Your address
  • Your account details or passwords

Please do not provide any of the above information to anyone claiming to be from Ausgrid (either via phone call, email, SMS or other message type)

At Ausgrid we are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers, our business contacts and our employees. When we collect and handle personal information, we do so in accordance with Australian privacy laws. These laws protect the privacy of personal information we hold on customers and other individuals with whom we deal.

Ausgrid is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). The APPs are set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act) and govern how organisations handle personal information.
