Community Battery information for Councils

We welcome Local Councils to express their interest in future community batteries.

Ausgrid is currently working with Canterbury Bankstown Council, Lake Macquarie City Council and Northern Beaches Council as part of the Community Battery Trial.

Australian Government's Community Batteries for Household Solar Program

Ausgrid, in collaboration with the Australian Government, will deliver six new community batteries in the Waverley, North Sydney, Central Coast, Northern Beaches, Hornsby and Canada Bay Council areas.

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency will be managing the remaining federal funding rounds for community batteries and you can refer to their website for more information.
