Bexley North Community Battery
Ausgrid installed this battery, the first under the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) Advancing Renewables Program.

This project also launched an Australian-first EV charger connected to a community battery.

Community batteries strengthen the grid to support more connections such as rooftop solar and electric vehicle charging. Ausgrid installed this public EV charger connected to the community battery to demonstrate how storage can support the electrification of transport.

For further information read the media release and watch the community battery video.

On Country by Amanda Longbottom

"On Country is a representation of our continuing connection to the saltwater that surrounds us and how our people continue to care for country, on country. Aboriginal people know just how significant it is to care for country. Whether on land or around our waterways, they have been caring for country since the beginning of time and continue this practice today."
