The Ausgrid Safety Clearance Checker provides a service for council planners, private certifiers, developers and land owners to check whether a building proposal may fall within minimum network infrastructure clearance area, and should be referred to Ausgrid for further safety clearance checks.
Council Planners can refer applications to Ausgrid in the NSW ePlanning Portal. If you have an enquiry about a proposed development near Ausgrid assets please contact Ausgrid on 13 13 65 or submit an online enquiry.
Ausgrid’s Quick Reference Guide ‘Working near Ausgrid Assets - Clearances’ provides further information on required clearances distances. If you need more information about working safely near Ausgrid assets at a specific site, please submit a Safety Advice Request.
Electrical Service cable routes shown are nominal and may vary from that shown. They are defined in the Checker Tool as a link between the Ausgrid street connection point (pole or pillar) and the centre point of the structure/building. They should be confirmed on site for accuracy.
